A new British brand is bringing Epsom salt right up to date, with its eye firmly on taking this quintessentially English product to a new worldwide audience.
Created and based in the UK, Newton Wood is the first brand to market Epsom salt as a high-grade therapeutic product in its own right. Newton Wood crystals are 100% natural and organic, free from artificial colouring, perfumes and other additives, and supplied in 1Kg telescopic cardboard tubes, which are fully biodegradable.
Soaking in warm water enriched with Epsom salt is a proven therapy for tired, aching muscles and joints; it also helps ease a range of skin conditions, and promotes general health and wellbeing. Newton Wood is giving this traditional remedy new relevance in the context of today’s work patterns, exercise regimes, and wider health and environmental concerns.
The brand’s launch coincides with the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the curative properties of Epsom salt – the common name for magnesium sulphate – in 1618. Newton Wood takes its name from an area of Epsom Common in Surrey, where the discovery was made.
