Epsom Salt has been known to provide great relief and improve recovery from sporting activities. A gentle, massaging Epsom Salt scrub can help the muscles relax and recover after an intense workout at the gym, post-run, walk or simply after a long, hard day. Soaking in warm water can ease aches and pains, leaving you and your body feeling light and rested.
It is scientifically proven that your body needs adequate magnesium to use glucose effectively and process lactic acid. It is thought that soaking in dissolved Epsom Salt (magnesium sulphate) can allow magnesium to be absorbed through the skin. Transdermal absorption is not subject to the same limitations as gut absorption, and can therefore be more effective, as found by leading health nutritionist Julie Stewart.
The vast majority of us suffer from a magnesium deficiency, so transdermal absorption is often recommended in addition to oral supplements, and the intake of magnesium rich foods such as nuts, seeds, spinach and kale.
For an effective body scrub, mix equal parts shower gel and Newton Wood crystals together. Allow them to partially dissolve and then apply to the skin in gentle circular motions, brushing up towards the heart.

I tried Newton Wood Epsom Salt in my shower and honestly it's been about a year since I've woken up and not been sore from exercising the day before! Incredible! Regardless, if you love a shower or a bath, I cannot recommend them enough!!
